John & Holly

  Every time I put Holly’s cape on, I feel a sense of accomplishment knowing that I trained her to be my service dog. Chocolate labs can be a little hyper so I was pretty nervous about taking the test for certification but Holly passed with flying colors. I have diabetes and my wife works all day. Some things I taught Holly to do are to turn on the light, fetch the newspaper, and pick up dropped items. Most importantly Holly will retrieve a bottle of juice from the pantry if my blood sugar drops. I’m so proud of what Holly has done. She’s not just a helping hand, she’s my companion.
